In October 2010, YouthNet YAB participated at Green Day to raise money for local food banks.  The YAB also volunteered at the Green Day event by manning tables and conducting surveys.

Hi everyone, just wanted to let you know that our first coffee house was a huge success, with approx. 100 kids attending, listening to music from several bands, enjoying some poetry reading and looking at art work that was presented.  A special thank you to Andy Brady who hosted us at the Baird Center (helping us set up the music system and staying until closing time), and Officer Jared Adams (who attended before his regular shift began), Diana Hart for her inspiration and of course Kevin Mason and the YAB who helped put it all together.  We are already planning the next one!
